Os Luso Tones

Luso Tones started as just an idea among us in Tulare who always wanted to start a conjunto of our own. When the opportunity to perform at the Tulare Union High School Portuguese Heritage Day arose, we got together and learned 3 songs to perform. After the performance, we decided that we were having a blast and should definitely continue. After more and more practices and little gigs here and there, our group was booked for a New Years Eve performance at the Santa Maria DES hall. And from there on, things only got better. We continue to practice, grow, and not only learn new music, but perfect older songs as we strive to be a premier conjunto on the festa scene. Our current roster consists of Lisa Fontes (vocalist), Josh Avila (vocalist/trumpet), Michael Correia (trumpet), Luis Rebelo (tenor saxophone), Joseph Rocha (trombone/keyboard/guitar), Michael Vieira (bass guitar), Joey Bertao (drums), and Manuel Correia (auxiliary percussion). We hope to see you at our next performance and to keep our Portuguese traditions alive!

What started out as a "Fantasy Conjunto" back in early 2010, has turned into a group of close friends doing what they love; playing music.
